The One Click Admin Login (also called SSO) in your PBN LTD dashboard lets you jump straight into your WordPress admin without typing a username or password — perfect when you’re managing dozens of sites. But sometimes it stops working, usually after restoring a backup, migrating in from another host, or accidentally deactivating a plugin. Here’s how to fix it depending on what’s going on.

🚦 First check — is your domain actually OK?

Before anything else, check the status of your domain in the PBN LTD dashboard. The One Click Login only works once your domain shows OK. If it’s still showing WAITING DNS UPDATE, ACTIVATING CDN, or ERROR, that’s why login isn’t working — and reinstalling/clearing caches won’t help until the status reaches OK.

• If your domain is in ERROR, fix that first using My Domain Is in ‘ERROR’ State.

✅ Scenario 1 — fresh domain, no backup restored

If you’ve just added a domain and haven’t restored a backup or migrated anything yet, this is the simplest case:

1. From your main dashboard overview, click on the site name.
2. In the Site Overview screen, you’ll see a “Log in as admin” link next to your domain — click it.
3. If it doesn’t work straight away, refresh the page and try once more.
4. Still nothing? Fully clear your browser cache (not just incognito — see the tip below) and try again.

🔁 Scenario 2 — you restored a backup or migrated in

If you restored a backup from another host, or extracted a pre-made template/blueprint onto the domain, the One Click Login probably broke because the restore overwrote our default WordPress install — which includes the helper plugin that makes SSO work. Good news: the fix is simple — create a fresh manual backup on our system, then restore that.

Step 1 — Create a manual backup

1. Click the site name from your dashboard.
2. In the left-hand menu, open Site Functions and click Create Backup.
3. Wait for the backup to finish (you’ll see it appear in your backups list when it’s ready).

Step 2 — Restore that backup

1. In the left-hand menu, go to Site Details → Backups.
2. Find the manual backup you just created.
3. Click the Restore button (▶️ play icon).
4. This cleans out leftover data from your previous install and properly reinstates our helper plugin — the One Click Login will work again afterwards.

🔧 If you’ve disabled the PBN Login Helper plugin

If you (or another admin user) accidentally deactivated it, here’s how to reactivate it manually:

1. Open your site’s WP admin login page directly: yourdomain.com/wp-admin/
2. Log in with the username and password shown in your PBN LTD dashboard — they’re always visible on the Site Overview screen (just click the site name from your dashboard). If you’ve previously changed the WP password from inside WordPress so the one in your dashboard is stale, see Need a fresh set of WP credentials? below to regenerate them.
3. Once you’re inside WordPress admin:
   • Click Plugins in the left-hand menu.
   • Use the plugin search bar (top-right) and type autologin.
   • The plugin is intentionally hidden from the normal list — you must search for it to reveal it.
   • Once it appears, click Activate.

🔑 Need a fresh set of WP credentials? Regenerate them

Your WordPress username and password are always shown on the Site Overview screen in the dashboard — you can’t lose them. But if you’ve changed the WP password from inside WordPress (so the one in the dashboard no longer matches), or you just want a fresh set, you can regenerate them with one click. From your PBN LTD dashboard:

1. Click on the site name from the dashboard overview.
2. In the left-hand menu, open the Site Functions dropdown.
3. Click Generate WP Credentials.
4. A fresh username and password will be created and shown on your Site Overview screen — use these to log in manually at yourdomain.com/wp-admin/.

🧠 Other things to keep in mind

• 📡 Your domain’s status must show OK in the dashboard for One Click Login to work. If it says WAITING DNS UPDATE, the DNS hasn’t fully resolved yet — see DNS Resolution & Important Considerations.
• 🚫 Don’t use plugins or custom configs that modify the WordPress login URL (e.g. WPS Hide Login, custom login slugs) or that block helper plugins — these will break SSO.
• 🧩 Some browser extensions (redirect blockers, script filters, aggressive privacy plugins like Privacy Badger / NoScript) can also interfere with the SSO redirect — try disabling them or testing in a different browser.
• 🔒 Security plugins that limit login attempts (e.g. Wordfence with strict settings) usually don’t block SSO, but if you’ve added IP rules they can. Whitelist our IPs or relax the rules if you suspect this.

❓ FAQs

What is the “PBN Login Helper” / “autologin” plugin?

It’s a small helper plugin we install on every WordPress site to enable the One Click Login (SSO) from your PBN LTD dashboard. It’s intentionally hidden from the normal Plugins list so it can’t be deactivated by mistake — you have to search for autologin to reveal it.

I migrated my site from another host and SSO doesn’t work — what do I do?

Follow Scenario 2 above — create a manual backup on our system, then restore it. That re-injects the PBN Login Helper plugin and fixes SSO.

I changed my WP password and now the one in the dashboard doesn’t work — what now?

Use Generate WP Credentials from Site Functions in the dashboard (see the section above). It instantly creates a fresh username and password and updates them in the dashboard — no email recovery needed.

Can I install security plugins like Wordfence or iThemes Security?

Yes, with normal settings they’re fine. Just avoid anything that changes the WP login URL (WPS Hide Login etc.) or that blocks plugins from running — those will break SSO.

SSO works in one browser but not another — why?

Almost always a local cache or extension issue. Try fully clearing the cache of the broken browser, disable extensions one at a time, or use the working browser until you can investigate.
