AI Auto Posting – How Review Modes Work and What Happens When You Change Them

Each AI Auto Posting campaign has a setting called Before publishing. It either publishes articles automatically or holds them until you approve them. This guide explains exactly when the setting applies, so that nothing goes live before you expect it.

💡 The one to remember
If an article’s publish time has already passed, approving it publishes it within about a minute. To keep it on hold, leave it unapproved, or cancel it.

The two modes

  • Publish automatically. Writing starts about 20 minutes before the publish time, and the article goes live at that time with no action from you.
  • Hold for my approval. Writing starts about 24 hours before the publish time, so you have a day to read it. The article then waits as Waiting for approval and is never published until you approve it.

Approving an article after its publish time

An article you approve before its publish time goes live at that time. If the time has already passed, there is nothing left to wait for, so it is published within about a minute of you approving it. This also applies when you approve several late articles one after another: each one goes live straight away.

What happens when you change the mode

  • The mode is applied when writing finishes. An article that has not finished writing follows the setting in place at that moment.
  • Articles already waiting for approval stay on hold. Changing to Publish automatically does not release them. You still approve each one, or cancel it.
  • Saving the campaign does not work through a backlog. Nothing is published because you pressed Save.
  • Articles already written and scheduled keep their time. Changing to Hold for my approval does not pull them back. To stop one, open it and cancel it.
